About us

We met in Paris, but realised quicky that we had outgrown the city.
After a year of travelling in North America’s breathtaking nature (See our blog), a year of completely renovating a flat in Montpellier (a little preview, so to speak), we were ready to take on “the project of our lifetime” : Château Salamon.

We see in this project not only an economical opportunity, but also the beginning of a resilience. We are constantly learning to garden, to plant treas, to live with nature in general. We do most of the renovations ourselves and learn from people around us. We are striving for a more energetic efficiency in our house.
We have so many ideas for more fun and special projects (nordic bath, sauna, tree house, tipi’s, underground house, workshops, ect.), but for the moment, we are renovating bathrooms! You’ll have to come back every year to see the advancements.

We both love hiking, photography, animals and nature in general.
Alexandre is from Charenton-le-Pont, but travelled so much that he needed a great amount of magic to settle him down. He loves fishing, reading and eating good food.
Liza is from 15 minutes from here (she learned it all at Albugue), and it was a lucky coincidence (or was it?), that after 14 years of moving around, she came back to her roots. She loves yoga, arts, and cooking good food.
Samuel took his first steps on the day that we moved our boxes into our new home. He loves running, biking, reading, and pretty much everything.
We also have a very friendly and playful dog (Youki) and two cats (Ron is cuddly and Mimi is fiercely independant) to complete our little family.
